I was born and raised in the midwest, splitting my time between Cincinnati, Ohio and rural Indiana. I started working with textiles as a teenager, teaching myself to make quilts by making patchwork from old clothes, working entirely by hand while watching DVDs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I studied film at Indiana University and graduated in 2024 with a MA in Textiles from the Royal College of Art in London.
